Privacy Policy
Dailo Privacy Policy Effective: October 28, 2026
1. Operator
Dailo is provided by Bibigul Amankul, Shymkent, Kazakhstan (“we”). Privacy contact: dailo@dereu.app.
2. In short
The app. Dailo works without an account and without servers of ours. Your habits and check-ins are stored on your device. The app does not send them to us: we do not receive the content of your habits, check-ins or settings, and we do not sell it. Crash and diagnostic data and feedback that Apple may pass to the developer are described in section 3. The app has no ads and no third-party analytics SDKs.
The website and email. The website dailo.dereu.app, the beta sign-up form and email to dailo@dereu.app are different: they do process data on a server of ours. See section 10. Sections 3–9 describe the app only.
3. What data is in the app
- Data you enter: habit names and descriptions, your check-ins and values, goals, schedules, reminders and preferences (language, sounds). It is created and stored on your iPhone.
- Purchase data: buying and restoring Dailo Pro goes through Apple (StoreKit). Purchases are processed by Apple. To decide whether Pro is unlocked, the app checks the purchase status on your device through StoreKit. The developer receives sales reports from Apple as provided by App Store Connect.
- We do not collect: name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, advertising identifier or app usage data. The app has no analytics or crash-reporting tools of its own and does not itself send us diagnostics; what Apple may share is described below.
- Crash reports and feedback (Apple). Beta (TestFlight): under Apple’s TestFlight terms, if you test a beta build, crash logs and usage information from that build are collected automatically and shared with Apple and the developer; testers cannot opt out of this. Feedback and screenshots you submit through TestFlight are voluntary. This applies to beta builds only. App Store version: Apple shares crash and diagnostic data with developers only if you choose to share it (iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers).
4. Where data is stored
-
Habits and check-ins live in a local database in the app’s protected storage on your device, shared between the app and its widget through an App Group. The app does not send this data to us.
-
iPhone backup. The app has no built-in automatic iCloud backup or sync. App data may be included in a system iPhone backup (iCloud Backup or computer) if you turned it on in iOS; that backup is separate from the app, belongs to you and is held under Apple’s terms.
-
In short: copies of your data may exist on your device, in an iPhone backup you turned on, and in copy files you saved yourself. Dailo servers are not among those places.
-
Saving and restoring a copy happen when you choose: with “Save a copy…” you save a file through the system share sheet and choose where it goes (for example Files or iCloud Drive). That choice is yours, and the place you pick is governed by its own provider’s terms, such as Apple’s.
5. Notifications and widget
- Reminders are local: the app schedules them on-device; we do not use a push server. A reminder may contain your habit’s name (you can hide the name in settings). Notification permission is requested from you and can be revoked in iOS Settings.
- The widget reads the same on-device data and transmits nothing.
6. Third parties
- Apple — purchases and subscriptions (App Store/StoreKit); for beta testers, TestFlight (crash logs, usage information and feedback, see section 3); and the iPhone backup, if you turned it on in iOS. Apple’s policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- There are no other recipients: no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services of ours, and the app does not talk to any Dailo server.
- App Store Connect reports (downloads, purchases) that Apple provides to us are aggregated; we do not use them to identify you.
7. Children
Dailo is not directed at children and does not collect children’s data — the app itself does not collect personal data.
8. Your rights and deleting data
All data is on your device, so you control it directly:
- Access and portability: “Save a copy…” in Settings saves your history to a file; “Restore from a copy…” brings it back.
- Correction: edit any entry or habit in the app.
- Deletion: delete habits in the app or delete the app to erase local data. Copies inside an iPhone backup or in a file you saved are not removed automatically; they go away when you delete that backup or file.
- We do not hold the content of your habits and check-ins (it is on your device), so there is nothing in the app for us to delete on request. For sign-up data on the website, see section 10. Questions: dailo@dereu.app.
9. Security
Data is kept in the app’s private storage on your device, protected by iOS. The app does not send it to any server of ours.
10. Website and beta sign-up
This section applies to the website dailo.dereu.app and email, not to the app.
- What we collect when you sign up for the beta: email, iPhone model, iOS version (iOS 26+, below 26 or unknown), language, which page the form was on, and your consent (version and time). Optional answers you give: how you found Dailo, which trackers you used, and a free-text note. A hashed confirmation token and the confirmation timestamps are also stored.
- Why: to confirm your address, email you when the beta opens, and ask for your feedback. Only about Dailo.
- Legal basis: your consent (the checkbox on the form). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Where it is stored: in a SQLite database on our server. Confirmation emails are sent through Resend (email delivery service); the server runs on a DigitalOcean Droplet in the Frankfurt (fra1) region, Germany.
- Logs: we do not keep access logs of website visits (IP address, user agent, URL, time per request): access logging is turned off for dailo.dereu.app. The web server’s technical error logs and the API logs may still contain request metadata. The API logs sign-up events with a masked email (first letter and domain, the rest hidden), the time and the form source. Your IP address is used only in memory to limit request rates and is not written to the database. Email-delivery error messages may contain technical details. Technical logs are used only to keep the website running and secure, are not used for marketing and are not shared beyond the hosting provider; we store them only as long as needed to operate and protect the service.
- Email to dailo@dereu.app: your address and message are used to reply to you.
- Retention: sign-ups that are not confirmed are deleted automatically after 30 days. Confirmed sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, or until the beta ends.
- Unsubscribe and deletion: reply to any email from us or write to dailo@dereu.app and we will remove your data.
- Processors: DigitalOcean (hosting) and Resend (sending email), only to run the website and send email. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version and date are on this page; we will note material changes in an app update or the App Store description. If accounts, app servers, sync or analytics are ever added to the app, this policy will change before that version ships.
